Season structure
Season 2026 consists of three official league qualifying events and one grand final. Each qualifier hosts 16 competitors in a single elimination format. Points accumulate across all three qualifiers. Top 8 competitors qualify for the grand final, where they will fight for the title ‘Danish Latte Art League Champion 26/27’.
Competition Format
Single elimination bracket (15 battles per event). Each battle consists of 3 rounds. With a total time limit of 5 minutes per battle. The winner is the best of the 3 rounds.
- Round 1 – Cow Milk (Arla), Latte art picture chosen at random by our generator
- Round 2 – Oat Milk (Oatly), Latte art picture chosen at random by our generator
- Freestyle – Use either Oatly, Arla or bring your own, Latte art picture is also up to the competitor.
3 Judges will stand with their backs to the baristas and only turn once the baristas has presented their coffee, so the judges don’t know which barista poured which coffee. The art will be judged on 3 criterias
- Contrast – Clear definition between espresso and milk foam. Strong contrast highlights the pattern and makes the design visually distinct.
- Execution – Clean and precise pouring technique. Lines should be sharp, shapes well defined, and the pattern free of smudges or breaks.
- Difficulty – The level of technical challenge in the design. More complex patterns and advanced pouring techniques demonstrates higher skill.
